World Lines

I’m not sure where I got the notion of “world lines,” but I know it was in my mind on Friday.  I had multiple meetings on Friday, and one of these was a doctor’s appointment.  I was running a little late, and I was stressed, and I kept thinking “if only.”  If only I had left a few minutes earlier.  If only I had taken a different route.

But you can’t change the past, even if it’s only a few minutes in the past.

Wouldn’t it be cool, though, if we could jump between world lines?  Realizing that one isn’t panning out, jump to the one where you did take the other route?

I’ve already written this post, I’m sure.
